I've seen the video before so I understand your questioning my comment, but use the search on here and you'll see that nobody is getting numbers like those stock. I'm siding with the majority on this one, I don't know how motor trend got those numbers on a stock 5.0

There have been a few recent reports of 5.0 owners claiming that they've dynoed both before and after a few thousand miles and have gone from about 360 RWHP to 380-390 RWHP, all stock. That would put crank in the 450 HP range which seems to validate the statement by some that the 5.0 is underated.
No way is a stock 5.0 laying down 436.

The way you worded your question though is weird. It's like saying "Everyone says that guy weighs 200 lbs, but the scale said 230, so is he really 260?"
If they dyno at 436, wouldn't the real power of THAT engine be 436?

There will always be anomalies and freak engines. I think it's safe to say that they engines should dyno at no less than 412, and some are seeing more.
