Differences between Mustang GT and Boss 302
Ever wonder what the exact differences are between the Mustang GT and Boss 302 (besides the looks)? This explains it pretty well:

It's all about the engine. It's a jewel - that goes without saying. The breathing and rotating assembly get major improvements, feeding an uprated driveline with a better clutch disk (it's surprising that they didn't borrow the twin-plate from the GT500) and differential. The oil cooler, which we haven't seen a picture of yet, is a huge win for the take-it-to-the-track crowd.
While it's not just stickers and wheels, the rest of the car isn't far-removed from a Brembo GT. The Brembo brakes are the same (and while they supply the ductwork, you still have to install it yourself). The suspension has different springs, shocks and bushings (sounds familiar), but that's all. The interior trim is unique, but not a wild improvement on the regular GT. The Recaro's look great, but without a roll cage, you'd have to be a real risk-taker to feed a shoulder-harness through those holes in the seatbacks.
It'll be interesting to see one in person. Good value at $40k - not so much at $50k or more with the dealer markup.

Right now, if you want to mod the '11 Coyote with forged conrods & better pistons, you have to rip out the entire engine to execute that operation.
You probably are better off buying a whole other Coyote in crate form, then tear that sucker down and put these in.
