Default 2012 Cobra Jet specs leaked!

A Ford dealer from Puerto Rico leaked the specs for the 2012 Cobra Jet. It's getting a standard aluminum block, new colors, new Weld Racing wheels, revised suspension, and an optional 4.0L supercharger:

Drivetrain:

■430hp 5.4L DOHC supercharged engine (aluminum block)

^^^ That's got to be a typo.

I would hope a 5.4l with a 2.3 tvs would make more than 430hp lol. So is this going to be a 6 figure mustang?

For some reason they underrate them like crazy. I know many of the Cobra Jets are running low 9s, so they are definitely making way more power.

As for pricing they haven't announced it yet, but the 2008 models were selling for a starting price of $65,000. I'm sure they are more expensive now, and the options probably cost quite a bit. The 4.0L supercharger is a $10k option.

my article on the news from TorqueNews.com (click!)

the horsepower ratings are such a joke. I understand why they underrate street legal vehicles (insurance) but i dont understand why they give these low power numbers to production race cars. im wondering if they arent literally stating wheel horsepower?

Desired class of competition. The faster you go, the more it costs and the more rules and regs you must follow. So that extra $10k is just an initial expenditure.
