I dunno, seems about on par with the majority sentiment. I love the 60's stangs, but some types I'm not a fan of, the fastback for example (can't wait for the flames from the ones that are die-hard for that one). I'd kill to have this instead: The Boss 429, and many others of that era, of which I wasn't even around for.

But if I thought I could buy a fastback with my salary in great working order I'd still do it. Same for the newer re-vamped 2010+'s. They only fiddled with the main styling in the rear, so while not "woo-hoo!", I've still got "woo".

I can compare the new car to two other Mustangs: the '01 GT and '03 Cobra. I used to own both, and now own an '11 GT. The '01 GT was a good car, especially for a first Mustang. I doubt anyone will argue that the '03 Cobra will go down as one of the best Mustangs ever. That being said, I absolutely, totally love the '11 GT. I would not trade back for my Cobra if you paid me. Stock for stock, my GT would beat my Cobra in a race, be it drag or road coarse (and I don't care about numbers, I know both cars, and I promise this is true).

Everything about this car is superior, especially the interior. The nav/SYNC system is incredible. The back-up camera kicks ***, as do the seat heaters, all the interior lighting is awesome (I thought it was cheesy when I saw it in my friend's GT500, but now I love it), it is PERFECT.

So far, with 14k miles on the odo, I have ONE complaint: there is no light in the center/back seat. This sucks because at night you can't see what's in the back seat. I fixed this problem with some LED strips from Autozone. That's one hell of a small complaint if you ask me.

In my opinion, it is a better car than the '03 Cobra, and that's saying a lot. Now if it only had that forged bottom end and blower from the factory . . .

Exterior styling is the best yet, to me. Although I didn't like the rear at first, it grew on me, and the front and side look much better than the '05-'09 cars. And the hood!!! The hood on the '05-'09 cars was terrible!!! It was like Ford's designers just ran out of talent or money or something.

Over the course of history, I think the Boss will end up overshadowing the standard GT, but as far as GTs go, it will find itself among the best, if not at the top.

I have had my Coyote since the summer, and I love driving it so much that it by default has now become my daily driver! The power out of a stock factory production car is unbelievable to me, well, coming out of a 4banger Toyota.

Whenever I get in my other car, I feel like a weenie. I get in my 'Stang and it's on!

I like my 2006 GT style better than the 2011. However I hate to performance compared to the 2011 GT.

I may be the minority on this( shocker) but I think that the 2011 Looks at lot better than the 05-09 version. after the first year that 05-09 it looked old and dated (stock) i have been looking at the refresh since the 2010 and that version still is a head turner. I also agree with Zolen the hood on the 05-09 is terrible but my biggest issues with mustangs are the years that the hoodscoops are on there and are fake( stupid IMO and it looks like something you buy from Autozone)

No. Styling wise, I like the 2010+ model better too. The 05s were nice at first but the 05 stangs never did anything for me. I can't wait to get my 2011!

Hey look it's got a non functional/fake hood scoop.

If you think the 05-09's have hoodscoops that look like they came from autozone, have you seen an autozone hoodscoop.

The 2011 Mustang GT is the best looking, fastest, best handling, and has the nicest interior of any Mustang GT ever made. Fire away.

That's one of the nicest looking 1969 Mach 1's I ever seen. Too bad they didn't order the $357 optional Cobra Jet engine with shaker hood. Oh well you win some and you lose some.
