Longtube headers are the usual culprit. Getting those rear O2's to come ready can be a real pita with hit/miss tuning.

YUP! Cams and headers! High flow cats with antifoulers on the rear O2's and a Brenspeed emissions tune. Hell yeah

Yeah the non foulers are the ticket. I went round an round with longtubes trying to get the rear o2's to come ready. With high flow cats and the repositioning of the cat/midpipe with longtubes the rear o2's will NEVER come ready without some major hit and miss playing with tune parameters. If they sniff the tailpipe I seriously doubt you would pass with cams but if they just do an ODBII scan it's no problem.

Yeah, luckily here in TN it's just an OBDII port test and no sniffer. I advise people to buy a cheap Actron 9125 scanner so they can monitor the moment their car has passed all readiness tests.

I have the actron 9575 (~$100) and yes, you can't beat being able to see in seconds your IM/ODBII status. I'm on a brenspeed tune now with non-foulers doubled up and showing 7 ready, ZERO not ready, 4 n/a. Sweetness.

And the tune runs so good I just left everything enabled...

I'm about to go through this here in GA. Cam's aren't in yet, but I have them and planned on putting them in this month. I do have my Pypes LT's and H installed though. I know I need some high flow cats, but what are anti-foulers?

That must be a relief. I dread the day I have to go in for my CA emissions test, hopefully Brenspeed was just as thorough with my tune. I'm not to worried though, I told them I'd be testing in CA and they seem trustworthy based on this thread.

As for the Actron 9125, why do I need it if I already have an SCT II which can read codes?
