Car was messed up my rims

90% of the time that you hear about ******** at dealerships is from people who treat them like ******** and just get paid back in mind.
I'm not saying the guy who made this thread fits into that category, but that has been my experience from reading forums over the years.

The dealer is going to send the wheels out to get re-surfaced. The clear-coat is scratched and they explained that they will buff out the scratches and then re-apply a coat of clear. Anyone heard of this and do you think I should go with it?

Can you post up some pics of the scratches on your rims? It might very well be taht they could be buffed out. If not by the dealer, by you yourself.
Maguires has a scratch remover, and they might do the trick for painted rims too.
I don't know about polished rims though.

Sounds reasonable.. but what they should do.. is just replace them with new ones.. and buff yours before they put them on the donor car. Would be easier on both of you.
