Default Car wash messed up my rims

I recently took my car through a dealerships car wash. I told the attendant that I wanted the touch-less option. He apparently wasn't listening and did not turn the brushes off. As a result my wheels have surface scratches around the edges (19 inch Brembo brake polished). The dealership who owns the wash acknowledged the scratches and want me to bring my car in so they can see if they can buff them out. I am very hesitant to allow them to mess around with my brand new car.

Anyone have any suggestions. I thought about trying to put a light coat of wax on them to see if that helps. If not I think I will have to argue with the dealer for some new wheels.

I doubt they'll give you brand new wheels over a few scratches..

What if they can't buff it out?

BTW, awesome cars. Are they both yours?

If they couldn't buff it out, then there is NO other option in my book, they would have to give me brand new wheels. They can easily take the rims from one of their GT Brembo's and put them on yours and put the scratched ones back on their car.

Really think a Stealership would do that?

your dealership has a car wash? can't say i've seen that before.

they screwed up and want to make it right (w/o costing them a fortune) if they buff them and they don't look perfect, you can continue to gripe. i doubt they're gonna put new rims on for you based on looks alone...

wax does not really work in removing scratches.
Get a lawyer for better results, ie. new wheels
