First, good job on the write up, clarifies things many have asked about.

Second, rear seat headrests seem overkill on my Mustang, anyone who can sit in the back usually is under the age of 12 and their head doesn't reach the high..lol

This is where us with those 2010 bastard child cars get screwed.

Our seats are different than 2005-2009 AND 2011, only in the fact that we don't have the rear head rests.

TBH - I was surprised that the rear seats even came with head rests. Are they an option?

Not an option, it's what comes with the new interior.

Seats look great Alec! Wrinkles will come out just fine after a few days in the sun.

Also guys, keep in mind that you can always buy rear seat back foam from a 2011 mustang from the dealer, I believe they ran for 50$/each and a very small price to pay to have that super tight fit. But it doesn't bother me to the point where I would buy them myself, and because I almost never use my rear seats.

Thanks for the positive comments on the write-up.

I know this thread is ancient but thought id ask here since you guys know what you are talking about.. I wanted to swap my seats from my 06 gt with a 2011 gt, the entire seat that is. Are the harnesses the same for the airbag and electronics? if all else fails ill have to swap just the leather. any input would be helpful

I don't think the connections are the same. You can swap connectors from your 06 seats to the 11' seats though. The 11 rear seats will require slight mods as listed here.

You will probably find that your 06 plug is smaller than that of the 11. If so, you will need to repin the plug off the 06 into your new seats. You won't have the side air bags (if you didn't originally) but that is just a case of unplugging the back plug. It isn't hard, just do one wire at a time, unless you can keep good notes to where each wire will go. It's just better to move one at a time. Good luck.
