Default Available Options on a 2012 GT Base?

Does anyone have a rundown on available options and changes for the 2012 base? I do understand the grey is no longer available.

I'm interested in keeping it light and more affordable.

I would be interested in Bremos, Sync, 3:53's and thats it.

As far as I know, Sync is NOT available on the base model. It requires the Premium package. Sync alone is the main reason I would not buy the base deluxe model. I could care less about the leather...but gotta have my Sync !!

My local Ford dealer is selling a Silver 2011 5.0 Premium with Brembo brakes that MSRP is $35,600 and they are selling for $30,995.

So other than the improved synch -- any other options/changes for the 2012?

Pretty much the same deals up here in Jersey if you press hard enough.

The rear gear offered is 3.55:1, and it will be optional just like it was for the 2011 GT.
The Brembo brakes & 3.55:1 rear gear will be available as an option on the base GT, but to get Sync, I believe you must have a Premium trim and also purchase the electronics package.

But when in doubt, ask the salesman; it just might be possible for the factory to put in just Sync into a base model in a custom order 'Stang.

Here is a link with the list of options you can get for a '12 GT:

sync is standard on the premium. I think you can add it in for $300, but you won't have the steering wheel controls.

You do not have to order the electronics package to get Sync. My 2010 Grabber Blue had the Electronics Pkg and had Sync and my 2010 Red Candy has Sync with no Electronics Pkg. Just have to have a Premium. They do sell a Sync upgrade kit at the dealer but you do not have the steering wheel controls or the rear-view mirror with the microphone in it. At that point I'd rather go after-market...provided you can get a nice looking dash opening plate...which i personally have not seen one that I like.
