funny, the ford website still says dual piston rear calipers as of now - even though article came out yesterday. first thing fomoco needs to do is correct info online. unless they ARE now dual piston and it's only the early purchasers who were hoodwinked.

I agree.

But speaking of astonished, I was astonished in just the opposite way when I read up on Steeda's Streefighter brake system for the S197s: These brakes have 14in rotors on the rear!

obviously someone screwed up, but its not a big deal. Its always been a kit for front brakes and wheels. The backs don't change, if you thought you were getting brembos and 19" wheels at all for corners for $1700 you are crazy. ford needs to fix their site asap though.

Agreed

To me it wouldn't be a matter of performance, but the fact that you're paying for something, which you're not getting. And it's not a matter of a few dollars here

I don't see it as a big deal, even with single piston rears the car still stopped 4 feet shorter then the M3 in Motor Trends test.

This has always been the case. Even since the 2007 GT500, the back brake has only differed from the GT because it was powder coated black, and has "upgraded" pads.

even if its not a big deal tho performance wise its still kind of a big deal in the sense they advertised it as something it wasnt. could be a law suit in the making if someone was pissed off enough (internet lawyer disclaimer lol)

This is significantly different when you misrepresent what the car can do (like hp). It still has the same stopping power from when you thought it had 2 piston calipers. It would be if the 3.7 turned out to be a 3.6 but still had the same horsepower, yes its a screw up, but you still get the same performance.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't affect performance! God you guys are idiots. The point is, people paid for something they did not receive! The only way for Ford to make it right is to install dual piston rears in all stangs that already came with the package, or refund a bit of the money. PERIOD.

I don't think ford has a dual piston rear caliper on any vehicle. Its a mis print and is worth maybe a $100 gift card for service. The package doesn't include any upgrade to the rear brakes.

Also, never use "period" in a sentence, and never ever capitalize it. <---see that little guy at the end there, thats called a period, redundancy not required.
