I take it you haven't been in an M3, its no 5 or 7 series.

mustang: (linked because its large)

its a bit nicer I would say, but not twice the amount of money.

but this is more like the interior of a car you can afford so again why are we having this discussion

The M3 has all around better interior materials then the Mustang. The Mustang is a great car and the interior is come a long way from its old crappy interiors, but please don't tell me Mustangs are close the the interior quality. Feel our doors, hard as hell plastic. It would be hard to find that hard plastic in a BMW. Yes the new 5.0 keeps toe to toe with the M3, doesn't mean its interior is as good. The BMW leather is better quality and so on.

Don't take this as a knock on Mustangs, but you have to be realistic sometimes and trying to say the Mustang is the same ball park as an M3 inside just isn't fair to either machine. The Mustang went after the M3 in performance, not luxury.

I'm not saying it is as good, I'm saying would you pay twice as much money on car that had a marginally better interior? The m3 is no luxury car, go sit in one then sit in a 5 or 7 series, its nice but its spartan in comparison.

I just got my 2011 this week and I ordered it back in October. I'm with lost boyz on this: Yes this says 2012 but it doesn't mean they have any yet.

Never been in an M3 myself. Materials aside. IMHO the Mustang's interior looks better.

Oh well its the dealerships $$.

I like the Mustang, Camaro too but seriously it's on the low end of the totum pole car wise. Not on performance but just the quality. It's not a BMWm3, Mercedes, Porsche. I'm not going to pay a premium price for an American car.

A few days ago I saw someone on here from Hawaii posting that a dealer had a ADM on a GT500 by almost 30 grand!

Why do you own a mustang?

IF I had the money and had a choice between an M3 or Stang I would take the M3.
If you put the money you saved from buying a M3 and put it towards better interior in a Mustang......then you could have the best of both worlds.
It is possible to have leather hand tooled on the doors and dash and still have cash in your pocket.

Hard plastics in the 2010+ aside, the Mustang has come a long way since the pre-2009 era. All Pre-09 era Mustang's interiors were basically low-class and very 1980-ish. Even the 05 era interior wasn't great. It took them til 2010 to include steering wheel radio controls and a proper trunk release...that's pretty sad. (well, the SN95/New Edges had trunk releases from inside ...don't know why the s197 didn't).

But yeah, I think the 2010+ Interior came a long way...not BMW quality, but like someone else mentioned, the M3 is a sporty-luxury car. The Mustang isn't supposed to be luxury. But I think they finally got the Mustang's interior into this century.
