Weatherstrip/Seal for aftermarket hood?
Have any of you with aftermarket hoods found a substitute for the long piece of weatherstrip under the hood that seals it to the cowl? My Kaenan cowl hood eliminated that weatherstrip and it causes hot air from the engine compartment to enter the cockpit whenever I have the fan on. It's never really bothered me but it's one of those things I've been wanting to do but never got around to it.

I re used my oe weather strip on my Cervinis hood. The hood was pre drilled for the weather strip retainers but the holes were too small. I had to drill them out one size larger. I assume the Kaenan hood doesn't have the holes pre drilled.

Hmmm...I took a closer look at my hood and there's indentations of where the holes should be. Guess I should've drilled them out before painting and installing the hood. DOH! Instead of removing the hood and going through all the trouble of drilling, I'm just going to use the original weatherstrip and remove the plastic fasteners so I can just attach the strip to the hood with 3M tape.
EDIT: Purchased some 3M tape and installed the weatherstrip. That thing is on there tight! 3M tape FTW!
