Default traction control toggle? possibility?

so first off how does traction control work....through the breaks? tranny timing? im confused?

and also i want a sort of toggle switch/mode instead of it automatically being on everytime i turn on the engine, cuz i usually dont use it unless im just casually driving long distances, because i like to drive my stang hard ... the way its supposed to be

so is there a way to toggle the traction control, if not how do i do it w/ my sct tuner?

Try the search function, it will help.

But to answer you, when traction control detects your tires slipping (burnouts, donuts, icy outside) it cuts some power from the engine and applies the brake until it no longer detects slippage. In nice conditions it limits fun, in bad conditions it can be dangerous.

There is no way to turn it off without a tuner. In the tuner there will be an option that says traction control, and you can turn it off through that.

The Traction Control is run by the ABS system and is linked directly to the wheel speed sensors. If one wheel starts spinning faster than the others the speed sensors relay that to the ABS. MustangFirstCar got the rest.

If you turn it off with the tune, its off permanently. If you want it on sometimes, you'll have to get used to using the switch

This mod defaults it to off and allows you to manually turn it back on. As long as you don't drive like a retard, the TCS is garbage.

+1 ...Have to splice a wire to the SJB later for this from the button, easy, straight-forward, cheap mod for automating the TCS to off. Very nice.
