Unhappy Looking to install a Cold Air Intake on my 2008 GT/CS

So I am shopping around to look for a good Cold Air Intake.. I have no idea what Im looking for exactly and I dont know much about the marketers. Can someone give me a good site to go to or maybe a good idea of what I should look for (ie.... BBK, K&N, Steeda...) I have been using AmericanMuscle.com

I only have experience with Steeda CAI on the Stang. Was a decent unit. My K&N CAI on the Caddy seems like a quality unit as well. Not sure it makes a whole lot of difference, but I could be wrong.

If you decide to do the Tuner/CAI route, send me a PM, as I might be able to save you some money on a Steeda CAI. Since you're buying a tuner, you could just tell them to tune for the CAI as it's your first tune.

The CAI doesn't really matter since it's the tune that provides the lions share of the HP gain. Without a tune, a CAI is about worthless on the S197.

Check out the combos on the American Muscle and Brenspeed websites. Both vendors write excellent tunes and have great customer & tech support.

I bought a FRPP CAI/SCT Bama tune combo from American Muscle. No complaints with the product and AM's customer service is great. If you upgrade your engine in the future Bama will send you a new tune no matter where you purchased the part from.

I went a different route. I watched Craigslist, found a Steeda CAI for $125. I the bought an SCT tuner off of Ebay for $200, then ordered three tunes from Bama for $125..So I got about $450 in the whole setup, which is now sitting on a shelf waiting for a few more mods and a good Dyno-tune..

JLT intake/Bama tune here, 100% satisfied.

Kinda weird though. C&L is right down the road from me...

I have an Airaid CAI, which is the same company that makes the Roush CAI. I am very happy with my SCT Xcal3 tuner and Brenspeed custom tunes. Can't go wrong with AM or Brenspeed, they are both very reputable companies. =-)
