Guy's this is a no brainer, just rip the hold damm fugly sound tub off your car. Then plug the hold in the firewall and buy a REAL aftermarket exhaust. Problem solved.

The sound tube actually sounds fantastic, it is more of an engine sound rather than an exhaust sound.

I totally agree...can I have ~$2K for a performance header-back exhaust system and tune?
Just pull the damn thing off. I am talking about the curved piece that meets the firewall. No clips or anything. It can be removed by hand. Once out you can remove just one or both pieces of foam. I tried removing both, then the forward piece, then the rearward piece. In the end I put it all back together because it sounds better to me. Removing both sounds like sheeeit.

Does it make a difference if you just remove the one at the bottom?

Removing the one on the bottom (the gray foam) makes a bigger difference. That's the only way it sound OK to me. Removing the the other white piece by itself hardly does anything at all. Removing both sounds horrible IMO.
