For those experiencing powdery white, bluish green or whatever color deposits on their battery terminals, BEWARE.
This usually indicates the escape of gas or electrolyte from the battery (some gassing of the battery during charging is normal, hence the requirement to charge in a well ventilated area). This often occurs at weak points in the case such as where the terminals protrude. This is clear indication that your battery is going downhill. Cleaning the terminals is a short-term fix for a poor terminal connection due to this issue. Try not to wait too long before replacing the battery.

I was getting the CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR cel for a while. After cleaning the battery, it went away. COuld be coincidence or maybe the computer pulled the sode back. I have no idea.
I have found that doing all of the maintance on a car such as mine that has had so much done to it in aftermarket parts is more than I imagined. I am learning to do a "circle check" around the entire motor compartment,
front and rear suspensions,
wiggle wires and hoses,
check the underside of my hood for fluids sprays,
check my belt all of the time,
looks for hot spots on the rotors,
tires for wear (which mine are wearing too much on the inside, too much negative camber)
Check radiator fluid for oil
Listen to exhaust note for strange noises
I may seem paranoid but I have experienced maintance related issues with every single one of these things listed above. Every once in a while I find something I never thought of checking. The other day I noticed my motor mount had sagged enough to cause an issue. I put a spacer in and fixed the problem.
I'm just saying guys, those of us making a decent amount of horsepower need to double check things that are normally viewed as "MAINTANCE".
off rant
