Buy 4 band kits and swap the TPMS sensors into the new wheels. My local Ford dealership dismounted my stock tires from the stock rims, installed the band kits (that I bought for about $70 total) on the new wheels, swapped the sensors, mounted my new tires on the new rims, balanced all 4 and retrained the sensors for a whopping $39.

Not that I recommend this... but I had the same question a few months ago and there was another option I can into. If you look around on the net you will find people who used PVC pipe and created a container for the TPMS sensors that they could pressurize. Then you keep them in the trunk and the light stays off and does not track the tire pressure.

In the end I bought a new set completely because I wanted the option to go back to my stock wheels with out a lot of hassle.

ok, thank for the help guys, I will end up getting at least my rims for americanmuscle.com

they have a kit, its a universal mounting bracket so the stock ones can be reused on a set of new rims.

If you buy new rims from AM you can just have them mount them with the tire for you. Then you get the tool to recalibrate it or have the dealership do it and your done.

That's were im at with the whole thing. I plan to slip on the stockers in the winter, so I just purchased new sensors with my wheels. Cost about $120 at AM. Guess i will get them synced at the dealership or shop....tpms sucks!

There is the tool to calibrate them? I thought there was just a reset procedure you go through as described in the owner's manual.

Is the procedure the exact same for 10-11 'Stangs? or is there a different procedure and/or tool?
