ftr these seats are great and everyone that rides with me loves them. they are good on the track and you can cruise long distances in comfort. my only complaint is that they are so wide in the shoulder area you can forget backing up in tight confines.

Ya, I'm the type of guy that likes to look back over my shoulder sometimes instead of relying on the mirror, these seats make that a little tougher....well a lot tougher.

This is sad but in a way hilarious.

When the BOSS was about to come out Ford was going out of it's way to tell customers that the BOSS was going to be very limited and that they were NOT going to offer BOSS parts so that no one could just put together their own BOSS.

I even heard them talk about this subject on a special they did on the SPEED channel. Well shortly after they offer the intake, now the seats.
It is going to end up so people CAN just go make their own BOSS.

And I bet the BOSS ends up being NO MORE limited than the GT500 is.
When it was first about to be out they were saying it was going to be a very limited rare car. Then the numbers went up more and more.

They will say anything to hype stuff up.

But I'm sure that they will sell every one that they make... It's all about the bottom line. This is certainly a profitable model and would likely want to capitalize on the sales while they can.

Not so, The production run always was & is 4000 cars per year, 2012 & 2013. 3250 regular Boss' & 750 Laguna Seca's
Check out how many Boss 302's currently available for sale & compare to how many Shelby's available.

Back on the seats: The last rumor I've heard is that the main reason that the Recaro seats have not been made available is that there is already short supply of the seats for Boss 302's. Will they be available "one of these days", probably. I'm not holding my breath, but I AM holding out until they do become available.

They are pretty nice. There is a passenger side airbag and a sensor for it also FYI.

I want some.. they look high quality. My cloth seats dont have much feel to them and they wear/dirty quickly like any cloth seats
Do these run a bit cheaper than Recaro's or BRIDES? I think if I ever get new seats, that getting some slightly used leather GT seats would be the best value...

This is not to jam you as a poster because I think you always have good input but to have the actual car is much different than a "build it yourself" gig. Believe me they are very hard to find and a car with a "European" type feel that has the masculinity of an American car is a hard combo to produce.....they did it with this car.

There is nothing wrong with building your own Boss. It's probably cheaper too.

Get your wallets/CC's ready as the Recaros are finally listed on the FRPP site. But at $3K/pair, not going to happen for me!

Maybe that's a typo and they accidentally added a zero? I'm with you, I don't want them bad enough to spend $3k for them. For less than half that I can get some really nice seat upgrades.

yeah forget that! 3k is triple the original estimate! and for that cost you can probably get decently similar seats from recaro for cheaper! haha or half a supercharger

that ad that turned up briefly months back listed them as each for $1500 iirc. We all hoped that was each pair. FWIW, dont feel bad the seats are far form perfect for track work. they have great mid and lower body support, but lack in the upper body support area. I also have a hard time geting in the car just like i want to drive because the top section of the seat curves forward so much my helmet wont clear the roof, i'm 5'10" so i'm no giant. i forget what seats the guys form vorschlag use in their red GT, but they looked much more supportive when i saw them at the track.

According to this ebay listing, looks like they are now available along with having airbags. Not sure on the airbag compatiblity for the 05-10s though.

Several vendors are offering these for $2350, but I imagine with shipping that $2600 is a comparable price
