Was going to offered if you needed a quick break, I work at a hotel near DC where I can hook you up with a room COMP. I've driven to Clear Water FL in my fiancées little Elentra and it was not fun. Luckily, we shared the driving.

I just drove an '08 Bullitt from PA to CA. Did 2 14 hour days and was not really beat up. I had 2 shorter days too.

I'm 68 and my wife is 63.....she drives stick.

I've done Richmond to Cape Coral, with no overnight stop, in a Boxster too.

Enjoy it!

Sounds like fun to me. I would love to go on a road trip to south florida in an S197 GT that doesn't have 4.10 gears :P

Roadtrips FTW. I drive from Northern AL to Illinois in my GT and it's always a blast. Gas Mileage is descent, best was 26.

In mid june, I am driving from Columbus OH to Los Angeles, up the coast to San Francisco, then up to South Dakota, then back to Columbus all in 16 days. Total trip is going to be something like 5500 miles and probably around 100 hours of driving, but it will be lots of fun!

My dad will be driving his 2009 GT/CS convertible, and I will be driving my 2006 Pony Package V6. It's a family trip, so 3 drivers will be split between 2 cars. My brother will be riding mostly in my car and my sister in my dad's, and my mom will be split between us, lol. And my dad is complaining about gas prices, but he wants to get 4.10 or maybe 4.30 gears in his car before we go! Gah.

Good luck on the trip!

Thought I'd stop by and tell you all that I arrived safe and sound (car too!). Was 1175 miles and 17 hours 45 minutes. Got pulled over in Emporia, Virginia (insert very mad face) will getting off I-95 to refuel. Have to call and find out my fine/points. Could have made it in 17ish hours, but between the cop, refuelings taking alittle longer so I could stretch my legs, and somehow my Garmin put me on Highway 17 in Florida which was a nightmare, I got there relatively quick. Easier than I expected, but once I was on about 15 hours of driving time and hitting every little town and stop light on Highway 17, it was wearing me down quick.

Thank you! If you were further south, maybe SC/GA region, I'd take you up on the offer so me and the woman could check out the outlets near South of the Border.

I didn't, and as a result I could have scrapped a 1 pound bug burger off the front of the car. Washing it today real good
