Thank You Brenspeed.com
I have to give Brent at www.brenspeed.com a well deserved "Thank You!" after I received the type of great customer service that I thought was extinct these days!
For those of you who have been following my SCT XCal-2 problem from this thread https://mustangforums.com/m_669863/tm.htm , here is what happened as I understand it.
I ordered the SCT Xcal-2 for my '05 GT mid last week and received it via UPS on Monday, (fast shipping), and I was excited to plug it in that night when I got home from work. I loaded in the 87 octane tune because I had not yet switched over to 91 and when it was complete my check engine light was on and my display said "failsafe engine mode", also known as "limp mode". CRAP! I was relieved when I loaded back in the stock tune and it went back to normal. I tried the 91 octane tune and had the same problem. For the heck of it, loaded in the 93 octane, which I can't get around here, and surprisingly it worked.
I e-mail brenspeed.com and got a call from Brent early the next morning, he was very concerned about the new problem that he has never heard of. After some experimenting he decided to next day air me another tuner.
The next day he came across another person with the same issue. First two programs fail, third works.
He called up SCT and they discovered that the new software version that he just got had a flaw in it and SCT plans to have a corrected version completed shortly. Luckily the second SCT unit was programmed with the previous software version and worked fine. So I have my tune for the trackday this Sunday!
Brent is sending UPS to pick up the corrupted unit and will send me the corrected updated software version when available.
Way to go Brenspeed!

RE: Thank You Brenspeed.com
I've dealt with Brent @ Brenspeed.com and I have to say for any business I've done online, his customer service was above and beyond what a business needs to be successful. Anything I buy will be from Brenspeed now...

RE: Thank You Brenspeed.com
Yeah, awhile back SCT was having a problem with their software. After we shipped out a bunch of tuners my SCT guy warned me that there may be a problem. Luckily nothing went wrong; but I am glad to hear you got everything fixed with yours.
