unless you have a top mounted intercooler, a carbureted engine, or its a heat extraction/cowl induction just realize it is just for looks and pointless otherwise. Don't go to the trouble of drilling holes because now you just made something not functional, not functional.

You are drilling holes to install it anyway.

I'm a fan of less is more, so no. Unless however it's a Shaker or functional

"Less is more" only works in terms of toilet paper (and even that's pushing it).

I think you're misunderstanding the fact that those with hood scoops that don't function do exactly that....don't function.

I mean there are tons of mods to do to cars that don't add HP but are still worth it. Not everything has to be for "go" if you ask me

A hood/window/side scoop can add to the looks of a car but when you overdo it is when it starts looking too busy and then you start entering rice territory....

All the best looking cars are simple and clean

Yes a lot of it is personal opinion but I'm sure all the guys with the riced-out civics think they did a good job

We have already had this discussion so why have it again.

Adding stuff to your car for looks, like paint, louvres, wheels, spoilers, etc. are fine becuase they do what they were meant to do. Not everything you add to your car needs to add hp. Adding parts that used to have function for looks crosses the line (for me) for being absolutely pointless. How would you feel about bolting on a huge fake blower out the top of my hood or the ricers that put a speaker under the hood that sounds like a turbo's BOV.
