I checked my insurance paperwork. I would be paying the same on a same vintage GT500... Who knew... Not that I can trade up or anything. Those things are still up there.
Shop around for different insurance, change your deductable to 1,000. Should be able to cut it down to less than 1,000 a year. I pay 2k yearly for a 4x4 truck, 08' fusion and the mustang.
Being young and insurance really sucks... I think I pay like $650 a year for mine but I also have a couple other cars on my policy for commute and the wife... But I would much rather be 25 and pay $3000 than be an old fart paying $650..
