I know this feed is older but I love the carbon fiber on the center shifter handle... How did u remove the two plastic pieces? Did u just unscrew it?

Has anyone sucessfully installed a 2010+ auto shifter in a 05-09 auto car/console? Looked on ebay and it appears that they are the same shape and design.......just by looks.
Im soon to be aquireing my EXwifes 08 Gt and Its a love hate relationship with the stock shifter.

I love it because it works and is not the ugly TCI.
I hate it because its the cheapest looking shifter Ive seen.....

Well, years later I just bought one, should be coming in sometime towards the end of this week. So all those who are wondering about the swap, stay tuned.


P.S. I am also trying to buy a 2013 auto shifter as well, if the guy will come down in price. That one looks awesome but will require some rewiring due to its 6 speed nature, I will keep you updated as well on how that goes.

Defiance did you have any luck with the 2013 shifter for our older cars. I just bought one. You mentioned something about rewiring it.
what would need to be done with it to get it working?
