Default How long are you going to keep your stang?

Are there any members like me who plan on keeping their cars, basically till death do us part? I'm 42, and my stang only has 3,900 miles and I don't think I will ever get rid of it. I think 25 years from now, I will still have, as a fun car, my 2007 GT Vert, which I am hoping will draw some intrest..Any members in the same boat??

I'm turning 48 this month and plan on keeping mine until I hand it down to my son "when" he meats 2 preconditions, first, he has to love the car as much as I do and second he has to promise that he will hand it down to his son one day....

I have had my car for a whopping 9 days. I will probably keep it for 4 or 5 years. That seems to be the length of time I keep my cars. I do love my car, but I am sure that by then the new mustang will have me salivating for it.
But you never know. I may pass this one onto my neice. She loves it and will be ready to drive by then.

I'm not sure what my plans are. Ideally I want to hold onto it and keep it around as the fun car for a long time but I don't know if that will actually end up happening. Kids are pretty far down the road at this point in my life, and them turning 16-18 is even farther lol. I'm guessing realistically I'll end up replacing it at about 7-8 years old and depending on the market value of resale on it, I might just keep it without plates or insurance and pick up something else. No idea what that something else will be...probably will have to be a sedan at some point...ick.

Well if I get a great deal on a new 5.0, then not that long, if not then I'll get another daily driver after a few years and keep this for modding/fun.

I plan on keeping mine forever and look back 20 years from now on what it is now and will be a weekend warrior then!

I'm 45 and I average about eight years per car, however, this is the one I've always wanted and waited for, so it's quite likely I'll keep it a good bit longer.

If nothing else, I'll pick up a new one and use this one for modding practice. ;-)

Forever. If I wasn't, I would have already traded it for something quicker. Special ordered her from the factory just for the purpose of never selling her... she's all mine!

The way I approach any vehicle ownership is we are only the "caretakers" for the next owners. It's just in our DNA, we always want the next best thing (even thought it's not always a better car). I think we get bored.

I'm on my fifth Mustang now. I had planned on keeping each of them, but something always changed that. Things like getting hit by someone in a stolen car, ex wives, and so on. Hopefully this one will survive.
