i see different opinions on which vehicles will be ok with E15
some say pre 2001, some say pre 2000, some say pre 1994.
it isn't good for boat or smaller engines, bc of the corrosiveness.
i dont think the gas people are sure or they arent telling the whole truth.
i dont think these engines were designed for E15 gas or even E10
so how can it be ok?

The higher ethanol will also severely hurt the marine industry. Ethanol is terrible for boats and jetskis which really sucks considering my family owns 2 boats and 4-5 jet skis (2 of which are mine)
Ethanol does terrible things when you have and water in your gas tank and let it sit for a little while.

On a more serious note. Anyone tried the stabil for ethonal in their older cars or boats? I've got some older cars and the inlaws have a boat and we are worried more about the rubber fuel lines than anything.

I'm lucky enough to live in a fishing town right outside of new orleans. There are plenty of boaters here who only use ethanol-free gas, so there are plenty of stations that only carry 100% ethanol-free gasoline and it only costs about 2 cents more per gallon. I refuse to fill up at any station that only has the blend. Diverting the food supply into our gas tanks is not an answer to energy independence.

I am not saying this to any specific member, I am saying this as an announcement to everyone who happens upon this thread.
The time to stop whining and start taking action is now. Vote those gawdamn fanatical green hippie politicians out of office. Look what happened to Cali? Too many green fanatical hippies infiltrated their congress and F***ed up their state!
Do not get me wrong; I am an environmentalist to a degree, but I am much more moderate and I do have a passion for cars.
The fanatical green hippies are just that: fanatics, even to the point of terrorism at times (sabotaging factories and equipment, vandalizing properties of companies that are thought to be pollutionists, etc.)
The fanatics must get out of office, and the only way that will happen is if we vote those asshats out. I o not mind an environmentalist in office, so long as he/she is a practically minded person and knows how to make compromises and wise changes without sacrificing from either end unsafely.
