Any pics of 18" AR Shelby Redline Gunmetals installed on a 2010+ ??
Im looking at buying the american racing shelby redline gunmetal wheels in 18" so I can reuse my tires. Just hoping someone has a pic of these installed on a 2010+ and it would be great if it was a Sterling Gray metallic GT to boot. If you've got them even on your stang, I'd like to see those pics!

Shanem has a thread somewhere with pictures of them on his Grabber Blue. I'm considering these wheels as well. I found this link:

They have them in 18x9 and 18x10. The price seems almost too good to be true though.

here are a couple:
i want to point out the reaosn i went to the TSW wheels was that the redline clear coat peeled off after onyl a few months on the car and i babied those wheels. missed two weeks washing the car when weather was bad and the clear was gone in spots.

Shane, based on your feedback, I think Im gonna take a pass on em. I cant resist sometimes taking mine out in the snow and with the mag chloride they spray here, it'd likely thrash those wheels out pretty quick. Thanks for the heads up.

Sounds like sorry made in China wheels craftsmanship. The paint pealing and seal coat missing after only a couple of months of use and no abusive driving?
I too will pass on these. $75 per rim is way too good to be true.

no abusive driving, the clear coat was actualyl peeling inside the dish of the wheel too where it was protected from any impact damage from curbs and such. it also really pissed me off that they didnt even bother to paint behind the spokes and inside the wheel. it was raw aluminum back there and looked bad considering how open the design is.

Since these are very very very very cheap $75 rims, if the paint and clear coat are horrible quality (cheapest paint these asshats can find, cheapest clear coat, and no quality controls in making sure the paint & clear were done properly), this only raises a much more important question in my mind: Just how safe are these rims?
What I mean is if the paint & clear quality is sacrificed, how about the aluminum it self? Is it even heat treated? What grade of aluminum was used? How proper of a casting process was done? were there any quality controls to weed out the defective ones or do these cheap asshats from China simply pass them all so that they do not waste money on removing defective rims from the batches?
Moreover, are these rims USDOT approved? I.e. do they meet USDOT safety standards?
Chinese tire companies a few years back tried to dump there shoddily made tires ont0 the American market. Thew USDOT could not approve them because they failed the safety standards, such as tread separation from the radial belts, poor sidewalls, improper amounts of materials in the tread, incorrect materials used resulting in poor tire tread grip to the road surface, and so on.
