Default Emissions Issue

Hey guys I got my 09 GT out Saturday and took it to get emissions and inspection. When the guy hooked it up to the machine it read that it was not ready to read yet. The mechanic told me to go drive it around for about 75 miles to set the computer. I drove it and took it back. It was the same deal. Has anyone ever had this problem? I also programmed it with an SCT X3 last March but have since put on plenty of miles. Could the programmer be causing this issue?

Who's tunes do you have? Brenpseed and AM can write an emission-friendly tune.

If the custom tune is not emissions friendly, it can cause issues. Are you able to change your car back to stock settings? If not, you may need to purchase an emissions friendly tune. My custom tune from Brenspeed passed emissions back in December.

I called American Muscle and the wrote me an emissions friendly program. Hopefully it all works out but I have to wait until this weekend to try it out. Thanks for your help.

No problem! AM will get you what you need. I've ordered numerous parts/items from them and have been very pleased with their company/customer service. I recently had my Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs installed, which are from AM. =-)
