Pissed about the FORD Spark Plugs!
I own a 2007 Mustang GT with 65,000 Miles.I am a broke college student and I have heard stories about the spark plug breaking about the FORD Vehicles from 2005-2007.Since its Ford's fault,WHY ARENT THEY RECALLING THIS? I am pissed pissed pissed about this, every shop I know charges at least $50 extra if one of them breaks. And I dont have any money for this.
I want to do something about this and petition to FORD or something,ANY IDEAS???
I feel like enough people complain about this issue,FORD will have to recall this! Considering , the spark plugs in the FORD right now are rated 100,000 miles and that is total BULL.
I might sound like a dumba$$ but I would like to do something about this.
Any feedback would be appreciated,I feel like if we all unite we could definitely something about this.
Thanks

Ok...so I've done the spark plug replacement on my 2006 GT based on the steps provided all over this forum. Worked like a charm. Just be patient is the number one thing. That being said, those plugs are good for 100k stock. Not saying dont replace them as soon as you can, but there's absolutely no sense in gettin so worked up about something that Ford has no intention of "fixing." Either drive the car into the ground or save a little bit of money over time and replace the plugs yourself. The job is more about patience then it is about being hard.

NHTSA handles recalls for safety issues.
EPA handles recalls for emissions issues.
In either case, normal wear and tear is generally excluded.
Your situation does not seem to fall within the parameters for a recall.

recalls cost a company millions to do, they don't happen unless it's something serious. Unfortunately, broken spark plugs aren't a serious issue, the most they will do is a TSB which is more or less an FYI this is possible type of deal. How are they breaking anyway? I couldn't imagine you would have problems getting them out so just spend a few bucks and replace them
