That's good to know. It'll make it easier to paint the calipers and not have to go around the lettering IF it was raised. Thanks for the link to xenonmods. By the way, did you brush on the paint or was it rattle can? Your calipers look so smooth it looks like it was sprayed on.

I rebuilt my calipers so while they were stripped down I had them powder coated. You can't powder coat them without rebuilding them as the seals and dust shields will burn up. Yours look so new you could probably get by with just a respray if you prep them properly.

I'm going to swap everything down to the brake lines since these, more than likely, have less miles on them than mine. I might even powdercoat them instead of painting them; maybe in blue this time instead of red. Can't wait!

Second paragraph; last sentence.

Are you sure they will work with your new wheels?

After you PM'd the company where you got them, I called to inquire about them (because I REALLY like them) and they told me the wheels would not work on my car because of the big brakes??

Unfortunately, having these Brembo brakes don't leave many choices for wheels.

Just asking.

Although I would prefer powdercoating for longevity, tearing the calipers apart is probaby not something I want to do since the calipers look pretty new, like you said. I'll just paint them. Yours look great though. By the way, how much was the powder coating?

They'll fit according to this forum thread at Latemodel Restoration Supply...

I'll know for sure once I put them on but I'm not worried that they won't.

I sprayed mine before I installed them. I just took my time and prepped the heck out of them. They still look just as good now as the day I painted them. I used the Duplicolor Ford blue.

I assume you used the engine paint and not the caliper paint since I didn't see Ford blue for the caliper paint. I guess they're the same anyway since both are good up to 500* and both have ceramic resins in them.

I'll use the engine paint too. Did you have to lightly sand the calipers or just get them really clean before applying the paint?
