I love the idea of painting the calipers....looks great americaniron. I had a set that I sold last year...just couldn't seem to get them put on, and they were gathering dust.

I'll know for sure once I put them on but I'm not worried that they won't.
Appears you'll have no problem what-so-ever according to that thread, thanks for posting. Guess the person I spoke with was unaware of this.

I sanded every nook and cranny with 400 grit paper, then cleaned them a couple times just to make sure there wasn't any kind of residue. Cleaned them before, and after taping off the calipers. I used a block of foam to mask off the inside where the pads fit into.

Thanks Shella. I thought you had pink calipers on the skunkster at one time?

Are you going to get the SVE wheels now?

Alright thanks for the tips.

I called and spoke to Karson yesterday and he apologized that the person I spoke with before had misinformed me.....and verified that the SVE wheels WILL work with stock GT500 Brembo brakes. It's the upgraded 6 piston calipers that the SVE wheels won't work with.

I'm not 100% sure at the moment, but I'm definitely thinking about....already talked to a buddy/club member, and the Alcoas are sold if I decide to move forward with them

Yes, I did and still do have them painted pink. Lol. I wanted to do just as you have done and paint the Brembo's I purchased, but it never occurred.

You did a great job painting yours. Looks perfect with that color mustang.

I painted my calipers Ford blue last weekend and I'm going to install them this weekend. Is the swap pretty straight forward? Just don't want any surprises during the swap.

Great brakes and deal. Bangastang is a great shop and Hendrix is a stand up guy. Deal was great for great brakes and price off of an actual KR not a GT500. Great score. I would have gotten these but I already have a set.

The swap is very simple as you pretty much just remove your existing calipers, rotors and splash shields... then install the Brembo items, followed by brake bleeding. Think my swap took less than an hour, but it really helped having Speedbleeders.
