Rock auto sells the motorcraft arm blade replacements for ~$7.00 each along with other brands.

Understood that you don't use the wipers much.. but you put all that into your car and you want to ghetto rig some wiper blades..

Not to turn into a salesman, but the all-season blades are quite an improvement. They form to the windshield like a squeegee and don't freeze as easily as the traditional style does. But your situation in Texas is different than mine in northeast Ohio where blades are used year-round (hell, it was snowing still just a few days ago).

I also have the advantage of my boss not caring if we take new blades from work since we offer buy-one get-one deals sometimes and it is hard to track for inventory. So once I start noticing any streaks, I get a free $50 set of wipers. But our prices on them are much higher than if you would pay elsewhere (this is because we heavily discount them with oil changes though).

And sorry if this post is considered like a semi-rant, but I have to get to 30 posts somehow. =p

I found some at autozone and $45 later I have wipers again. These don't use the hook attachment so all those cheaper blades wouldn't work. Had to get the specialty blades that have the cup connector. Glad to have them replaced but not to happy about spending that much on blades.

Found a pic of what these are. It's the "I&L connectors" which is the last tab.

Thanks for the link. I'd have never suspected. Leave it to Ford...

Not trying to start anything here but wanting to make sure people don't buy those that were linked to and have issues returning them.

Being that they say they fit 05-2011 I'd bet they don't fit the 2010+ as the 05-09 looks to have a different connector system. Most of the books that tell you which wiper to get even have it wrong and lead you to beleive you can use the reg blades that are cheaper. Even some of the discriptions give the mounting types and they are wrong for 2010 but show to fit 2010+ cars. It must be the I&L adapter for which none showed that.

From what I was able to find at Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts and O'Reily's was that the cheaper blades don't include this connector. the cheapest blades I found were $18.99 each that had the correct mounting system.

If you can actually get the correct blade for less online (including shipping) that would be nice but just didn't feel it was worth saving $10 and dealing with the return hassle if they didn't fit.

No prob. Was trying to give you some options. It's all about research, only took me a few minutes to find something. If I was still looking for wiper blades, I would have done much more to ensure I bought the right product.

I got these from Rock Auto for my 2010. Haven't put them on yet but the mounting looks correct.

TRICO 162013 (16-2013) Wiper Blade $ 12.66
TRICO 162213 (16-2213) Wiper Blade $ 13.69
