Now they outsell the 2-doors by around 4 to 1 ...
That doesn't look so bad though, it does actually look decent. I just feel like the mustang platform would look god awful with 4 doors with it's proportions all kinds of messed up.

Honestly what dodge did with the Charger I approve of, it's a nice car despite having 4 doors. Yeah it's heavy and isn't a complete dragster, but then again you can also carry 4 people around with you pretty comfortably. I say bring the falcon over here.

Then again, I also don't think the market that needs exploiting by Ford is the 4 door performance sedan buyers, since the numbers are dwindling as gas prices continue to hike up.

I feel ya on the Jeep man. I was going to get a Jeep before I decided on a Mustang, and all of the ones in any decent shape in my price range were 4drs. Of course, I am happy that I got the Mustang now.

I don't see why Ford can't make a 4 door Mustang-based car instead of changing the Mustang itself. Just add 2 doors and change up the front end (and name of course). Then they keep retooling costs low and don't mess with the Mustang image.

I don't see ford doing that but if they did I would be wondering wha they were smoking, it may be a better idea if chevy came out with a four door corvett

HA HA HA no way they will do this, they have the taurus SHO which is the high performance sedan for Ford. This would be in direct competition with that. Which is not a good plan for a car company.

Have you guys even thought maybe a 4 door might not even be the s197 body style? It could be something completely different than what the known world to us right now.
