I am in the Air Force also at Scott AFB, I haven't driven a 2011 but I would put a large wager of cash that you won't be anti Ford after owning a juiced mustang. I waited all my life to get one and I tell you what I love driving to work every morning.

Yeah I feel the same way about my truck, it really boosts the ego when the gate guards compliment your vehicle every day

I see buckeye in your sig, are you from Ohio? I was born and raised in Columbus.

I also had a problem convincing the wife of the kid in car thing. Her problem wasnt the room in the car as much as she thinks the car is too loud for the baby. My daughter is almost two now and she rarely rides in the mustang because I have an SUV that is issued for work. She has ridden a few times in the back seat rear facing and I had no problems what so ever. Easy getting her in and out.

If you're referring to me, I have a 19 month old. The only way I was ever able to fit his Britax rear facing infant seat in the mustang was to put it on the passenger rear seat with the passenger front seat tilted forward. My wife had to ride behind me in the back and she's only 5'3". It was doable, but only for one short trip (to a car show, lol). I wouldn't give advice if I didn't have experience. I wish you the best. BTW, if it's between a '10 and '11 GT, get the '11. You won't regret it!

4 year old in a booster and 20 month old in a car seat works just fine. I did wait to buy the 2011 until after we were done with rear facing seats.

The kids prefer Daddy's pony car over Mommy's Enclave. They just complain about no DVD (it's a vert). I just give them an iPhone/iPad to play with instead.

I'm 5' 10" small compared to some but I'm only 16 and I have sat in the back and have had friends in the back and they fit since the seat goes so far back, your knees don't stick out.

It will be absolutely fine.

I have two kids..6 year old and a 3 year old. They..and their stuff fit just fine! In fact, they love driving in my car.

That said, rear-facing baby seats force the person in front of them into a tight spot. It was worth dealing with that occasionally..cause the joy i get from my car outweighed the pain.

Much of our adult life is spent conforming to what other people think is best... what was best for me was to have no regret, no built-up animosity toward my wife making a decision for me...and working hard enough to get my dream car.

Your a man. You'll make it work. Just get the car.
