Are these "resignators" something new on the 5.0? My 2010 doesn't appear to have any of those. This is why I feel like a hilljack every time I drive my car.

There removed everyday...look for a h-pipe or x-pipe and aftermarket axle back mufflers or muffler deletes. Goto you-tube and type in 2011 Mustang gt exhaust and play around from there....lots to listen to.

Yeah, if you get an aftermarket Catback, it'll remove them. The RESONATORS are before the axle, so an axleback won't get rid of them. I'm probably going to get an OR X soon, but I think I will trying leaving the resonators in to maybe keep down the trumpeting.

I have been wondering the same as the OP....not changing out the entire mid pipe (that tends to change the entire tone due to pipe sizes I would guess), just removing the resonators and how much of a change it makes in the sound.

The "resignators" minimize fleeebish prots which originate from the whoserbooper.

Translation: I believe the resonators are installed to reduce drone.
