Default Z-plan

Even though I have a million variables that makes it nearly impossible to get a clear picture, I have been trying to figure out when exactly a new pony with a v8 engine will be financially available to me.

This last thing that has crossed my mind for this extremely complex formula was the fact that I remembered that I qualify for the Z-plan discount due to my grandfather being a retired Ford employee (and my other grandfather worked for GM so I could get a similar deal, but I'm a ford loyalist ).

I've just done a minor amount of research to find that I can go to a dealership and ask for a printout of the invoice to show how much the Z-plan would save me (which should be the same as the A-plan if I am not mistaken), but at 3:00am, that isn't really an option. So my question is: has anyone recently purchased their new pony with a Z-plan? And if so, roughly how much did it save you?

I know I'm starry-eyed on this whole thing and I shouldn't get my hopes up too much as I'm only 21 and about to enter the teaching field which doesn't help my situation either. I also have a perfectly fine '05 v6 that's paid-off with only about 75k miles on it, but it is tempting to upgrade as my dad has a '69 Mach 1 (the engine is a '71 351 Cobra Jet). I would love to show him up one of these days. >=)

I bought my 11v6 with A-plan and it was ~$3k under msrp. It depends on what options you get as you get a discount on those as well, but I would assume around 10% under msrp. When you go to a dealership they have to show you what the pricing is on a sheet, but they probably want your z-plan code first.

Wow, that's quite a bit more than I was expecting. I also wouldn't have thought that I would have needed the PIN until it actually became time to buy. Looks like I need to make a phone call in the near future.

Also, I read that it is also possible to have other rebates and discounts apply as well. Is this true or have they changed that? I would assume it would still apply and work as any other rebate would where the corporation repays the franchise to make up the difference.

All the rebates state what they can and can't be combined with. I think I also got another $500 off and a 0% 36 month loan.

Go ahead and get the PIN, its good for 1 year from being issued.
