Default 2010 GT vs Camaro SS (buyer's remorse?) need help...

Alright, so I am not sure if it is buyer's remorse, a slight bit of envy, or just that I don't drive my car enough but as some of you know I purchased a brand new 2010 GT about a month ago. Yes, I got the 2010 GT Premium It was a great deal and the premium package sold me. I only get to drive it 1-2 days a week on the weekends because I have a company truck (also a Ford; F150) for work so I drive that every day.

Anyway, my best friend just bought a 2011 Camaro SS convertable yesterday. I am not here to say that I want to beat him in a race because we all know that it will be difficult to do that in a timely manner. It was take quite a few modifications.

I just want to hear some good things about the 4.6L and the 2010's. I feel I may have screwed up a bit by not getting a 2011 5.0L.

I have the 3.73's and in all honesty I didn't get it for the speed...So, that is what I am hanging onto. I got the mustang because I LOVE mustangs, period.

I just know when it comes to the good ole "pissing contest" I may lose that one...I just have to have more pride then that!

Anyways, Thanks for all the advice I have received so far on this board...it has been great to get to know what I can do to this car to wake it up.

Well, the mustang doesn't look cheaply made IMO for starters, unlike the camaro. I picture a muscle car as a 67 stang or camaro, not this new one that looks like it's made of plastic.
Secondly, slap a supercharger on there and make him eat your dust

I agree.
The Mustang looks way better.
New Camaro looks like a boat and the vert looks worse.
And dont get me started on the Camaro's interior! YUCK.

You say you are not worried about speed but you are comparing speed so yes you are really.

Throw some mods on there and smoke him.

I inidicated I didn't buy it for the speed...but now that he has that and I know the 5.0L are faster, I am a little worried about it.

I know that the 4.6L aren't too far off but every bit matters, in my opinion.

But you did partially. Or you would not be talking about this.
You would have bought a luxury car instead too.

Dont worry about it though bro.
You can mod it to be faster than a SS and do it fairly cheap.
I bet cheaper than what it would be to trade your car in because they always bend you over when it comes to that.
Plus... you will have the better looking AND faster car then!

But look at it this way bro.
There is ALWAYS a faster car out there.
ALWAYS.

lol.

Yeah I'd say Supercharge it and be done with it.
I went through the whole step by step modding thing with my 06GT
While I LOVED it (especially the cams)... it does make for a long road.

Supachage!
Do it!

Heck get a loan or do it on a CC.
MUCH better than trading the car in.
You will throw money down the tubes PLUS you will regret ditching the Mustang.
Remember that unless you race alot... you probably wont even feel the difference in your stock GT vs the SS.

Go test drive a Camaro and you'll have plenty to win your arguement! I hated driving the 2010 camaro! You can't see anything, way too many blind spots! Also, it's a boat! I like the styling, especially of the RS/SS but not a good car to drive IMHO. You should be very happy with what you bought and you'll really enjoy you're ride more if you get a CAI/Tune...wakes up your ride, especially if it's an auto (i'm not sure what you ended up with)

BAH as far as auto.
I'm a stick man.
Much more control of your car and you change gears when YOU want too.
Plus nothing like going through those gears in a run!
