Default Groaning noise coming from the suspension

I have a 2012 mustang gt stick with just 200 miles on it. When I go over a slow speed bump there is a "groan" noise coming from the suspension. Is this normal for a new suspension? anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?

I have posted about this very same issue with my new 2011 GT a couple of times - started noticing it at about 800 miles and now has about 3400 miles. The response seems to be that it is not normal and should be taken to the dealer for a check. Not sure about possible causes or if anyone else has had this issue and had it fixed or taken to the dealer.

Could be the same type of issue seen with the 05-06 S197's. Needed to have revised upper strut mounts installed. Dealer item should be covered under warranty.

There is a TSB on this.
Don't confuse it with the TSB for groaning while turning.
They are two different issues.

What does a TSB do? i just called my dealer's service dept. and the guy said it could be the suspension settlling in and i should give it another week. If the noise continues i should call him again, i told him it already has 250 miles he just said ok.

what did you do about it? you just left it the way it is and now you have 3400 miles? the noise is kind of annoying.

TSB means Technical Service Bulletin.
Ford puts them out when widespread problems happen that are not safety related so they do not require a recall.

There is a list somewhere on this forum of TSBs.
Look for your year model.

Check out this TSB.
It says for 05-10 Mustangs but they might just not have updated it to include the 12's.

Oh one more thing...
If the groaning happens when you turn then your dealer just needs to add a bottle of Motorcraft Additive Friction Modifier to your axle.
Do some figure 8's in a parking lot at low speeds to force the liquid in and you should be set.

The TSB does not seem to be for the problem described by the OP. It is a "groaning/creaking suspension type noise" heard when going slowly over speed bumps. Not a whine as in the TSB. Haven't seen a TSB for this for 2011-2012.

I have had the same problem on my new 2011 GT. It only happens when going over speed bumps so I just live with it until I can take time off work to take it to the dealer to have it checked out (much as I hate to). I don't think it is normal and will probably not go away. Seems to come mostly from the passenger front.

I would be really interested in knowing if anyone had actually taken the car to the dealer for this and what was done.
