Default Anoying paint chips

I have 2000 miles on my 2011 black GT. I have sustained two paint chips in the last week, one on the front fender and one on the hood. Not sure if this is bad luck, but it seems like everytime I drive my car I get a chip. Drove a F-150 for years and never had this problem. Maybe it because the car sits so low, or my paint is made of peanut brittle.

Haha probably a little bit of both, you may want to check into getting a clear 3M protective clear vinyl brawl. They are a little pricey but we worth it IMO.

Well, the lower you are the more exposed you get.
Eventually everything will come down...

Also, all it takes sometimes, is being stuck behind a dump truck.
Avoid those at all costs, or make sure there's a Prius in between.

+1 It's sad but the way it goes. I just try my best to avoid the obviously bad chipping situations and other than that, all you can do is hope.

It's called patina and will happen if you drive and enjoy your car. Every couple of months I use Dr Colorchip on my car and it covers the rash nicely. I have a Dark Highland Green Bullitt so it comes close to black.

Just have fun and stand back 5 ft. or so when you admire the car.

I made the mistake about a month ago being a good citizen and letting one in front of me on a longgg exit ramp. What a mistake that was, I couldn't seem to avoid chit that was coming off that truck no matter how far back I was! Thankfully it didn't chip much if anything at all.

It's a car and it's just going to happen plain and simple. I think my car at just a glance looks immaculate, it's garage kept and I clean it thoughly once sometimes twice a month. Well while doing that it seems everytime I find a new blemish on my car, it's just something you have to deal with.

It's the inevitable. I use the black dupli-color touch up paint for rock chips, to avoid rusting.

Welcome to the annoying paint chip club. I use touch up paint and Langka. Works good... not perfect but you hardly notice it from a foot away.
