I don't like how it looks when a car has mixed tint. Just do 20% all over and call it a day.

I agree with alloy. It does tend to be noticeable. I would go with 15-20 all around and make sure to roll the windows down if you get stopped.

I prefer light tint, i have ceramic 50% all the way around. I would go no darker than 30% all around. The mustang has a small cabin, why make it so dark in there...

I went with 20 on the side windows and 35 on the back window. I'm happy with how it looks. The killer: as I pulled onto the freeway my windshield got hit with a rock and gave me a nice chip in my windshield. It's right in my line of vision too... On to the windshield repair.

I have 20 % all around and it is really dark, and if you have a dark interior it will also seem darker

I think 30 all around would be fine. Here in IL, we can't go under 35, and I'm pleased with how mine looks. It'll definitely set that car off for sure no matter what you do. That dark red is crying for window tint!! It'll look awesome.

Also, I have a grand prix that has mixed tint. Doesnt look bad at all. Actually makes the fronts look darker with the rears real dark. I wouldnt do a major difference. Maybe like 30 front 20 back. It'll look fine.

In CA, for the front side windows I am allowed 30% and then dark as I want on the rear windows. Would it look funny having darker in the back? Should I get even darkness all around? Do people still get tickets for too-dark tint, maybe I should just go a little darker and keep my fingers crossed?

Here's a photo of my love:

I have 30% all around on my Redfire looks great. Any darker and i think it would be too hard to see at nignt in rear view.

I have 15% all except the front. I think it looks odd with a lighter tint on the front 2 windows. I haven't had any problems with the cops. My brother and dad have had their 15% tint on their stangs for about 3 years now with no problems with cops. As long as your windows are down around cops you should be fine. CA cops are more laid back about that... think about how many others have tint and illegal parts on their cars around here. Hope this helps

Whatever you decide go with the same % all around - looks better in my opinion. I have 2.5% on mine all around and yes, the CHP here will bug you about it. Just depends on where in Cali you live, some cops are worse then others. I keep my windows cracked but when I see the cop I just roll em down
