I am now seeing less than 39 amps DC at 400Watts AC load...
I regularly use my TrippLite 375Watt inverter with
a 12V 7AmpHour Gel Cell and it lasts for hours
before shutting off from low voltage...
Never new that the inverter was capable of 39Amps of DC load...
The wiring and fuse would indicate otherwise.
Maybe peak start-up, but not constant load.

Check the wire size printed on the wire included with the inverter
and use that size unless its over 6 feet...

The second page of this PDF has a inverter size to wiring size chart....
