A $100 a month mistake? What is the total per month or year, and is it for one car?

I have Liberty Mutual and they have been great. No problems with taking care of my wife's car when she hit a bike that fell of the camper in front of her; tore a hole in the oil pan and the engine seized up. And that same day, while I was taking her to her office, a deer leaped in front of my Explorer and I had to have the front clip replaced. They were easy to work with on the claims, and no hassles at all.

I pay less than $1,800 a year for two cars, full coverage, and I drive the Mustang on a 45 mile one way commute every day to just outside of Detroit.

wow $270 a month? you really should shop around. unless you have a horrible driving record you should be able to do much better. my insurance has never been higher than $130 for a car (mustang included) before i turned 25.

you will find that one company may ask 270 for your coverage, but turn around and another will do the same for 150. it varies greatly from company to company. not saying you can get 150, im just refering to previous experience.

$270 a month is wayyyy to high.

In New Jersey I pay about $2300 a year for 2 cars. Both myself and my wife have perfect driving records. This state is just to damn high. I have heard of teenagers paying as much as $5000-$6000 a year for just basic coverage.

Geico - about $600 every 6 months with full coverage, $60,000 limits vice the traditional $20/30,000 limits, and the wifes Expy has every bell/whistle they offer because I'm deployed so often and she doesn't need the hassle if there is an accident.

I was with USAA for about 4 months and ended up selling me truck and switching back to Geico. When I supercharged my 2006 F-150, Geico dropped me because of the blower. Going to USAA cost me $1,170 every 6 months for lower coverages than I'd had with Geico. USAA is a great financial company, but they suck at insurance prices. Either they love you (not my case), or they hate you. I see it all the time with my buddies. They probably are the best if you can afford them.

BTW, never had a ticket, married, easily over 25 yrs old, no claims against my policies or at fault in an accident since 2002. You can't discuss pricing without those factors

Geico. I have 6 cars insured with them, have been there for over 10+ years & never had any issues with them.

I've had 2 claims in the 10 + years & they took care of me asap & no issues.

That is for full coverage on 2 cars -

and I drive the Mustang into Wayne county (Detroit area so insurance is higher, plus the miles I drive every year, affects the rate) every day on a 45 mile commute. And because of where I drive and my business making me a target for the scammers I carry a high coverage to make sure I'm not exposed.

About $35 a month for full coverage AND agreed upon total loss coverage of $30,000.

Grundy's Insurance FTW.
