SCT Tuner Gear Ratio

SCT Tuner Gear Ratio
Have an SCT tuner with Bamatunes. Going to change to 3.73 gears.
Can I select the gear ratio(s) in the tuner myself, or do you tunes need to be re-written and sent to me?
TIA

You can do it yourself.
Plug it in, select custom and then it'll allow you to choose the tune you want and adjust all the different preselected settings. select change and then default settings. scroll over to gear ratio and pick the right one, then load the tune. I think it actually asks you to hit cancel and not select to save the gear ratio and then load the tune. I was confused at first and had to redo it a second time to get it right.
Good luck man!
Edit: almost forgot, you can tell the installer what tune is on your car and he should be able to plug the SCT in and adjust it himself. Don't leave it at home like I did. lol
My car had fluctuating RPMs @ idle for a while after doing this, not sure why but after driving it a few miles it cleared up with no issues. only mentioning it in case it happens to you so you dont worry.

Yes you can. If you're an auto, however, you can get a little more out of those gears by getting a revised tune that will adjust the shift points. It's nothing major; just a minor tweak for a bit more efficiency.
