Default Can the convertibles fit golf clubs with the top down?

Just trying to do some research...wondering if folks out there who have the V6/GT/GT500 are able to fit a set of clubs in the trunk when the top is down, including woods.

And if so, if 2 sets can fit in (just the normal carry golf bags, not those massive tour bags) with the top down.

I'm guessing the trunks on all those 3 models are the same size?

Thanks fellas-

Trunk space does not change top up or down. The top does not use trunk space like the camaro. 2 golf bags fit with a little geometry on inserting the second bag.

Although I own a coupe, I'v carried a set of clubs in the trunk along with a hand cart, 3 pieces of luggage plus a host of other odds-n-ends on a KY-to-Chicago-to-Philly-to-Boston-to-Chicago-to-KY trip. The trunks of our Stangs are roomier than they look.

We drive the Mustang a lot to golf and our 2 sets do fit with one being an averaged sized cart bag and the other an oversized stand bag. It is tight, but they do fit. This is assuming you do not have a Shaker 1000.

When I was looking at other Convertible's, I checked to see if Clubs could fit with the top DOWN. Not a one. the Sebring, G5, Solstice, and VW all took up the trunk space with their roofs.

I laughed my head off when my Brother-in-law bought a Corvette. He couldn't put his clubs in at all never mind carry a small carryon bag anywhere.

Some car trunks are actually designed with a bag of clubs in mind.

A friend has a new 535i, and there is a picture on the inside of the trunk of how to fit 4 bags in haha.

You'd be surprised just how much can fit in the trunk. I have some pictures from a track rental weekend in May - I had one of my front skinnies plus a drag radial in the trunk, assorted tools and other equipment, helmet, etc. Everyone said it wouldn't fit but the only thing I couldn't get in the trunk on the way home was a wash bucket that had been filled with Mother's supplies that I won. I managed to get all the Mother's in, but the bucket didn't fit and had to ride in the back seat with the other drag radial and front skinny. With a little more thought I think I could have fit the bucket in too.

Oh ya watch out for the shaker 1000 as mentioned. The bass tube does eat some trunk space. I have the 500 and am happy with the sound, and the extra space.

Thats one of the many things I love about the Mustang Convertibles- you dont lose trunk space because the top is down.
