Turn off the sheitter 500 before turning off the ignition.
Problem solved...

I dont have a sheitter and my OEM battery went south 48 months after I took delivery...
Got a new OEM battery from the dealer for FREE...

yeah thats what im doing now, just to avoid anything another issue. I figure im just gonna replace the head unit next week and that should be the end of it. Guy at ford told me that the reason I cant use the aux is probably cuz whoever hooked up the siruis before might have just left it disconnected. oh well.
