How much would it cost me to upgrade my 3.31 to a 3.73 rear axle?

Default How much would it cost me to upgrade my 3.31 to a 3.73 rear axle?

Anyone know how much average labor would cost? I understand you have to recalibrate the speedometer, too?

I was thinking of getting this:

So that the warranty on my 2011 GT 6MT wouldn't be voided, I guess having the work done at the dealership would be recommended?

In CA. It'll cost anywhere from $450 and up for parts and install.

Unless you already have one, dont forget about the cost of a tuner to recalibrate the speedo. Or having someone do it for you if the gear install place doesnt have any flash capabilities for it.

suh-weet! I'm in CA...so I guess the average may be around $450 as Thrashard340 mentioned...everything costs more in CA!!!

mine was around $500 + $130 for the 4.10s..

Ford Racing Authorized Dealer (Ford Dealer too) which is why it might be a little more $

I'm in the same boat as you, i'm upgrading to 4.10s soon so i'll let you know. I was quoted at $225 for just labor so it's looking like $400-500 range depending.
