Thanks for the compliments everybody! Yeah, in direct sunlight you can really see the red metallic. It's awesome. Here's a picture I found on Google for those who haven't seen it:

Seriously though, yeah, the Lava Red is one of those really cool colors. In certain light conditions, it looks like a different color; much darker, but at other angles, it really stands out.
Kind of like Kona Blue Metallic: in the dark it looks black or dark blue. But in the light, you can see purple out of the metallic flecks in the paint

no.. but the bird will have to be tagged and logged by the fish & wildlife dept. I definately wouldn't touch/move the bird or want to be in possession of it till its tagged.. lol

The color reminds me of "Black Jade" from the 60s/70s. Basically same concept instead of red it is green. As far as hoods, haven't really seen much that go well with the new body.
