Want an Aftermarket Hood But Worried About Flutter After Searching Through Posts

mlawdawg & MeanStang08.......thanks for the replies. It looks like I'll have to go the hood pin route, which I didn't necessarily want to do, and the wmsracing site says the stealth pins are, unfortunately, no longer available. I wasn't aware this was such a common problem with S197's. So......you think pins are the cure?

8 year old thread, doubt they will reply.
Yes, hood pins are the cure if you want to completely get rid of hood flutter. Even when adjusted correctly, the hood bumps on the radiator support do nothing to hold the hood down. They're just there to remove downward play.
As far as I know there was only one incident out of the thousands upon thousands of 05-09 mustangs sold where the hood popped open and/or was damaged. As I recall it was due to the hood not being latched all the way and not related to the flutter. It's somewhere on this forum but good luck finding it.

Derf00.....new to the forum, I didn't realize I was looking at a 2011 posting; duh?!? Thanks very much for your current response. The bump stops did zero to alleviate the flutter regardless of position. Looks like pins are THE solution.
