Roush R2300 vs Ford Racing Supercharger
Okay, my friend wants me to do some research on superchargers for his 2006 Mustang GT
He knows he wants to do a roots style, and so far we've narrowed it down to the 2 mentioned in the title
I was wondering if anyone could offer some insights into the 2 I've mentioned - beyond what I can read on AM
Thanks

Both are great superchargers that can build serious power. How far does your friend want to take it? Both are capable of blowing the block. Does he plan to build up the motor first? How much cash is he ready to spend? Auto or manual trans?

We really haven't talked beefing the block much - but I'm sure he'd respond if you guys gave me some ideas to toss at him as far as that goes
And he's ready to spend whatever the cost of the SC and other needed will be

I chose the Roush R2300, I was able to install without fuel upgrade right away so it was more affordable, plus it has A LOT of room to grow both on the stock block and a forged block if I choose to later. It is a great kit with a lot of options including dual and single belt systems, check out Roush's site to see them all. It is a very clean look when done, I cant say anything bad about this kit. Install wasn't to bad actually I had a lot of fun doing it but the directions do suck.

These kits are pretty close. I narrowed it down to them as well. I ended up going with Whipple (Ford Racing) because it comes with an upgraded fuel system, and where I bought it, I got a custom tune for mods I already had.

With a good tune I'd say 450-480 you can push 500 but thats taking a chance, fuel system upgrade is usually a Kenne Bell BAP or GT500 pumps or both

What can you do to increase the 450-480 number?
