I was already on the fence with the transmission TSB and the expense. Having to lose the wheels pushed me over at the time. I passed on the deal.

I guess the 5.0 with it's trans problems on some and then the 8 cylinder problem has veered you FAR away from it then huh?

What I don't like about the stock GT500 wheels is the weight mainly. They are big huge boat anchors. I got the enkeis because I wanted something LIGHT and still an 18" wheel wide enough to take at least a 285mm tire.

The main thing steering me away from the 5.0 cars is the rear end, the fact I'll have a car payment again, and the fact it's such a new model they are still figuring out how to tune those cars and what the limits are over the long run.

The rear end was actually a good part of the deal breaker for me as well on them.
I'll find the wheels that work for me.

I wont be getting any that are heavier than stock. I tell you that right now. Even if I have to fork over a lot more money and just save up.
The 5.0 also as you said was just not proven enough to me when I was considering. And still is not.

Plus... there's just something about having a Shelby. You can't know what I'm talking about unless you are an owner.
Just knowing the heritage of the GT500 and what you are a small part of. And knowing just what a beast you have still far from coming close to unlocking is a great
feeling in itself as well.

O.K. back to the subject.
People PLEASE post help with this if you can.

I know these aren't five spoke.. but they do fit the GT500 and it may just be me but I think they are sick wheels. They are black to match your car and 18" only. Idk.. just a thought.

Or you could always go with Foose wheels. About 400 a wheel..

Can someone PLEASE come to my rescue with some help?
PLEASE!

Why not just use a spacer up front to clear the brakes. Like these
