I don't do much highway driving and don't care about going high speeds I want to have ***** at bottom and some top end for the track or street against others.. And 4.10s were my first choice then 3.90s were but I hear that there's a lot of whine to 3.90s I just need som opinions please

If you don't do much highway/end then I'd go for the 4.10s

4.10s are a blast. I went from 3.31...Way better in city driving than lower gears.

Edit: Forgot to say that it's nice to see someone else who doesn't care about top speed. Those who care about top speed in a Stang are people I don't want to share my roads with.

4.10! Make sure you get the Ford Racing brand 4.10's though.

4.10s, but only because you're almost all the way there anyway. A normal decision is 3.73s or 4.10s. 4.10s if you don't do a lot of highway commuting and drag race often. 3.73s if you do a good bit of highway driving, care about mpg and don't want your engine singing at 2700rpms to keep with the flow of traffic.

I went 4.10s and regretted it. Bad move for the 60 miles of highway I see going to work.

4.10's all the way. And like mentioned above make sure you get the Ford Racing ones and NOT the Motive gears. Ford sells the Motive gears as well so be careful.

If the part number ends with a M... then it is the Motive gears. Do NOT get those.

The difference in 3.90's and 4.10's as far as the engine singing to keep up the traffic is really a null issue. There is not much difference at ALL and you would not notice the difference as far as the engine singing. If its a manual, this is DEFINITELY not an issue because you control that with what gear you are in. Still no real difference as far as that is concerned. At least not a difference worth mentioning at ALL.

If you are wanting gears obviously you want to get some seat of your pants feel OP. You would regret getting the 4.10's and want them after feeling what the 3.90's do and just wanting more because that's we way it goes with modding and wanting that bang for your buck and butt in your seat feeling! When it comes to that... a little more is a lot more when you want more lol.

Get the 4.10's. Don't give it a second thought and don't look back.
If you get the 3.73's or even 3.90's, odds are that is exactly what you will be doing and wondering... "How much better would the 4.10's feel?"
Why wonder. Do it so there is no wondering and you know you got the best butt feeling gear.

Heck I'm not even sure if the Ford Racing ones come in 3.90's do they? Aren't those sold by Ford but are Motive gears? I may be mistaken but when we got 4.10's all they had to offer in
3.90's were the Motives... again the part ending with a M

Plus, I'm not sure FRPP makes a 3.90 set. Definitely go with Ford parts no matter what route you go.

I don't know about you, but I definitely heard my 4.6 singing on the highway. There was no question what speed I was going, especially if I got around 80mph. Constant 3k rpms is not for the faint of heart, which sucked because I liked going 80. I had to relegate myself to the middle lane doing 70mph or else my mpg would tank.

And you think the 3.90's would make a difference on this that you would notice? If so... where do you get this thought from lol?
Mine did not sing at that speed. Maybe the exhaust setup difference between us was a factor heck I dunno.

But between 3.90's and 4.10's, if you got that with that speed with the 4.10's you would still get it with 3.90s.
I have not heard of anyone complaining of this happening either. Im sure there may be a few. Each car has it's little differences that can cause less or more noise.
Even if the setups are the same.
